All undergraduate students entering UNC-CH in the fall of 2006 and after are under the “Making Connections” curriculum. Details on the curriculum can be found on the Office of Undergraduate Curricula’s website. This website includes information for submitting new or revisions to courses, majors and minors.
Tar Heel Tracker
The Tar Heel Tracker is the University’s online degree audit system and is operational for all undergraduates who entered UNC-CH in the fall of 2009 and after.
General Education Requirements
In order for a course to meet a General Education requirement, the home department of the course must submit a request to the Office of Undergraduate Curricula; subsequently, the request must be approved by the Administrative Board. However, students may petition to have a course fulfill a specific requirement through the Office of Undergraduate Curricula. Approvals are awarded on a student-by-student basis.
Course Substitution(s) in Majors/Minors
Course substitutions to a major or minor can be approved for individual students on a case-by-case basis. These adjustments must be made by the academic department’s Director of Undergraduate Studies (DUS) in the Tar Heel Tracker system. Any DUS who has not been trained on making adjustments should do so as soon as possible by referring to the Office of the Registrar training schedule.
