Senior Assistant Dean
BiographyI have been an advisor at Carolina for 14 years, starting as part-time and then accepting a full-time position in 1999. I earned a BA & MA in Geography from East Carolina and came to UNC-CH for more graduate studies, where I found working with undergraduate students more enjoyable than research. As a dean, I work with students who are in academic difficultly and those who need a dean’s permission to exempt certain policies and help with the administration of our program. I was born in rural Virginia and live out in the country, as I have all of my life. I enjoy taking care of my horses, chickens, and cats; reading; and listening to music.
