What I enjoy most about working with students:
I believe each student possesses a set of unique strengths, talents and abilities; each one needs to feel connected to the University, know how to find and use appropriate resources, and have the confidence to make their own life decisions. My calling is to inspire Carolina students to explore beyond the familiar, to engage fully in their curricular and co-curricular pursuits, and to empower them to envision greater possibilities.
My hometown:
I grew up in Statesville, NC with large and rambunctious extended family, many who I consider to be my greatest life teachers and beloved friends.
First job out of college:
I worked at Sarah Lee Knit Corporation in Winston-Salem, NC.
Lowest grade I got as an undergrad:
My lowest grade was a C – but too many in one semester!
If I didn’t work for Advising I would:
I would still be working with college-going students in some aspect of their journey
Bucket list item
To fill the bucket up with as many opportunities and adventures that brings me JOY!
