What I enjoy most about working with students:
Aside from helping students identify and achieve their goals – personal, career, and academic – I truly enjoy getting to know people for who they are: their interests, favorite things, pet peeves, bucket-list dreams, passions, and the like. I’m fascinated by the human experience in general, so I love learning from others. We all have something to offer!
My hometown:
Tolland, CT
First job out of college:
I took a year off between college and graduate school and worked as an animal hospital kennel attendant. I’ve truly seen it all when it comes to dog/cat medical treatment…and some of it was not pretty.
Lowest grade I got as an undergrad:
B
If I didn’t work for Advising I would:
Teach English internationally. I was a high school English teacher before coming to UNC, so traveling AND getting to talk about books all day is THE dream.
Bucket list item
Travel Greece in its entirety. I spent a month participating in a food and travel writing workshop in Thessaloniki and Thasos before starting graduate school, and I’ve wanted to go back and see more of the country ever since!
