What I enjoy most about working with students:
Learning about students, their aspirations, passions, fears, and hopes, and helping to find ways to dream, succeed, and live well through college – even when, or especially when you never thought you’d belong here.
My hometown:
A tiny village in rural northern Germany is where I grew up, and Hamburg in Germany is where I lived for about 20 years. Then I moved to Chicago, and now I live in Durham.First job out of college:
Tour manager and roadie for indie rock and punk bands. Not the healthiest employment option but makes for some good stories.
Lowest grade I got as an undergrad:
C- in Statistics I + II
If I didn’t work for Advising I would:
Be a wolf biologist doing field work.
Bucket list item:
Dog sledding in Alaska and getting better at Spanish.
