What I enjoy most about working with students:

Every life has its own beautiful and meaningful journey to be lived. Sometimes though, we become calcified in our transition to “being” the person we envision ourselves as in the future. I love supporting students as they are “becoming” and discovering more about themselves. I endeavor to help students discern their values and progress toward their goals so they can navigate life’s ambiguity with relentless curiosity. Witnessing students on their academic and career journeys thus far is an honor and a joy.

My hometown:

Central Islip, NY and Charlotte, NC

First job out of college:

College Advisor with the NC State University College Advising Corps.

Lowest grade I got as an undergrad:

A proudly earned D- in Chemistry 101 during my First Year.

If I didn’t work for Advising I would:

I would utilize my mental health degree to work full time as a therapist with emerging adults while spending my free time singing alt. R&B and soul music on an acoustic guitar to eventually make a living off it in an urban environment like New York. I could also see myself as a poet and doing spoken word as well. Either way, I’d be in a major city trying to balance my passions of providing mental health care, working in education, and sharing my creative passions with others.

Bucket list item:

It would be astronomically phenomenal to travel the world to see the Southern Lights in all its vivid glory!
