How long is an advising meeting?
Advising sessions are typically 30 minutes long. To get the most out of your appointment, we recommend that you jot down any questions or concerns in advance of your meeting. If you have a scheduled appointment and something comes up, please be sure to cancel your appointment so another student may use that meeting time slot.

Catalog
The course Catalog is a comprehensive publication that lists all the courses available for students to enroll in. It includes detailed descriptions of each course, prerequisites, credit hours, and departmental information. The Catalog serves as a guide for students to plan their academic journey and select courses that align with their interests and degree requirements.

Departmental Advising

Tar Heel
Tracker
The Tar Heel Tracker is a degree-planning tool available in ConnectCarolina that tracks requirements that have been fulfilled and those that are yet to be fulfilled. The Tar Heel Tracker is a great tool to utilize to ensure you are meeting undergraduate degree requirements and are on track to graduate. We encourage you to make an appointment with your assigned advisor periodically to review your Tar Heel Tracker.
