Students are responsible for dropping the appropriate courses in ConnectCarolina on their own through October 25, 2024. However, to qualify for a tuition refund, students must drop by 5pm EDT on August 30, 2024. After August 30 at 5pm EDT, any course drops are recorded on a student’s transcript with a “W” grade notation. The final deadline for students to drop selected course(s) in ConnectCarolina is October 25, 2024 by 11:59pm EDT.
Terms in Residence:
For students who enroll in fewer than 9 hours, the Fall 2024 semester will not count as a term in residence. This may impact a student’s registration appointment time for future terms.
Students who maintain enrollment in 9 or more hours will earn a term in residence for the Fall 2024 semester.
Tuition, Fees & Financial Aid:
Students who drop below 12 hours after August 30, 2024, at 5pm EDT, will not receive a refund of tuition and fees. Please consult the
University Cashier
for more information.
Students who are currently receiving financial aid based on full-time (12+) hours and drop below 12 hours before August 30, 2024 at 5pm EDT must submit a request to adjust their aid. Failing to submit this form while receiving aid based on full-time (12+) hours may result in owing back funds when courses are dropped. For more information about the financial aid implications of taking less than 12 hours and to submit the financial aid underload request form, please visit the
Office of Scholarships and Student Aid website
