Valérie Pruvost

Faculty Advisor

Academic Advising: 1015D Steele
Romance Languages & Literatures: 222 Dey

I completed my PhD in Romance Languages-French at UNC in 2002. (I also hold an MA in French from Ohio U and an MA in English from Paris VII-France). I taught at Wake Forest for a year before returning to UNC, where I have remained, teaching undergraduate French courses, ever since! I have been a Faculty Academic Advisor since 2004 and enjoy talking with students who have different scopes of interest.  It allows me to meet a wide variety of students, better understand their lives outside of the classroom and encourage them in their studies or personal endeavors. I also serve on appeals for Honor court cases as well as other committees on campus. In my free time you can find me practicing yoga, walking my dogs or traveling to see my family in France.
