Welcome to Carolina, New Transfer Students!
Welcome to Carolina. We are excited that you will be soon joining us in Chapel Hill. Below you will find videos introducing you to a number of departments and majors on campus. Under each department listed, you will find links entitled “Fall into your Major” and “Welcome Transfers”
The videos entitled “Fall into your Major” are from Fall 2020. These videos were meant to introduce any student to the department and make connections necessary to get acclimated and aware of what the program could offer. These videos were for any student watching.
The videos entitled “Welcome Transfers” are videos that the department or program made specifically for you.
Thank you for viewing and please connect with academic advising in drop ins https://advising.unc.edu/advisor/ or through an appointment to learn more about a major.
Again, welcome to Carolina and we look forward to connecting soon.
College of Arts & Sciences
New Student & Family Programs welcomes you and your family to Carolina. Our office is here to support you and your family as you transition from your previous institution to UNC-Chapel Hill.
Please refer to the Transfer Enrollment Checklist as you prepare for your next steps as a student at Carolina. One of the items on this checklist is to register for New Student Orientation, a mandatory, virtual one-day program by June 5, 2021.
Actively participating in New Student Orientation is an important aspect of facilitating your transition to Carolina. All new transfer students are required to attend Orientation.
Attending New Student Orientation provides new students the opportunity to…
gain a more concrete feel for the campus community
learn about campus resources
hear from academic advisors
connect with faculty and current students, including your Orientation Leader (OL)
learn what it means to be a Tar Heel
Please review our website, nsfp.unc.edu, to learn more about our staff, programs and services for new students, and please email us at email@example.com if you have any questions. We look forward to meeting you at New Student & Family Orientation!
