Schedule a Zoom appointment with advisors through the online scheduling system.

Call the Academic Advising Program office to speak with a staff member regarding general questions and urgent situations Monday – Friday 8:00am – 3:00pm (except University Holidays). Main number: (919) 966-5116.

Call your advisor using the number provided in our directory with specific questions. Keep in mind that advisors are often busy meeting with students during the day, so you will likely need to leave a voicemail. Be sure to include your name, PID, and phone number when leaving a voicemail.

Phone appointments are available through the online scheduling system. If your advisor does not answer, it is best to leave a voicemail as they may be wrapping up a previous appointment. If you still cannot get in contact, call the Academic Advising Program office and a staff member will assist.

Our chat service icon is available in the lower, right side of the website. Ramses is is an Ocelot chatbot tool that provides student-friendly responses to common questions 24/7. Backed by an AI-powered engine, students, parents, and campus colleagues who visit our website can get answers to general questions about academic policies and procedures.

Advising Peers

Advising Peers are a great way to get help from fellow UNC students. Meet with them by asking for an Advising Peer when you come to drop-ins. Peers can help give you a general student perspective, and they can help explain resources and policies on campus.
